Drawing Classes - Urban Sketching available now

My urban sketching classes are informative and relaxed. I teach simple artist tricks in how to use perspective, and then support you to apply the method out in the city to bring a sense of depth and perspective into your drawings. If you left school thinking you ‘couldn’t draw’…you will find that you can! Learning perspective is a step-by-step method. Anyone can use it, and you will definitely feel you’ve gained new confidence after one of my workshops, and you’ll be able to start enjoying sketching on your own.

Group Classes are £35 for a half day or £50 for a whole day (maximum of 5 students). To book contact me.

Private Sessions

My private One-2-One sessions are £70 for a half day., or £100 for a whole day. We can start from the basics and build from there, enabling you to finish the session with completed pen and ink drawings on professional grade watercolour paper to take home. If you have some experience already, I will meet you at your current skill level and teach you advanced drawing practices to grow your confidence and practical knowledge, enabling you to take home preparatory and finished drawings on professional grade watercolour paper of your choice. My Story - 14 years of architectural illustration

14 years ago, I was a student at Winchester School of Art, sketching buildings in Winchester. A passer-by asked me If I could please create a pen and ink portrait of his house in St Cross. Of course I said that I could…and then very quickly transformed myself from student to professional architectural illustrator! After my first few commissions, the demand grew, and I spent significant time diving deep into the geometry and history of perspective drawing. I found it useful and fun, and fully integrated the practices into my house portraits and also began teaching perspective drawing classes in galleries and cities.

Now, I specialise in pen and ink house portraits and work with homeowners, property developers, architects and galleries. In clear weather, I work outside from life ‘en plein air’ and I also from photographs in my studio, for longer projects.

Many people have found delight in my house portraits, and the artworks help people treasure memories of their homes and families.

I hope to work with you very soon. Contact me to find out more.
