Have you ever struggled to get the perspective right, particularly when drawing buildings? Or have you never contemplated drawing an architectural scene because you think it is too difficult? These practical workshops will give you the tips, techniques and practice to handle this subject with confidence.
Katherine will show you how to use perspective to create realistic 3-D drawings of buildings and street scenes.
Taking our sketchbooks outside to draw Winchester Cathedral and the High Street, we put into practice what we learn in the morning session with Katherine on-hand to guide and advise.
No prior experience necessary. Class sizes limited to 5 people.
CLASSES are run as Group or Private One-2-One
Group Urban Sketching
My urban sketching classes are informative and relaxed. I teach simple artist tricks in how to use perspective first of all, and then support you to apply the method out in the city to bring a sense of depth and perspective into your drawings. If you left school thinking you ‘couldn’t draw’…you will find that you can! Learning perspective is a step-by-step method. Anyone can use it, and you will definitely feel you’ve gained new confidence after one of my workshops, and you’ll be able to start enjoying sketching on your own. Book a class here
Group Classes are £35 for a half day (with a maximum of 5 students).
Full Day classes are £50 (with a maximum of 5 students)
Private One-2-One classes
We can dive deep into what you would like to learn in a private session tailored to your needs. Half day sessions are £70. Full day classes are £100. We can start from the basics and build from there, enabling you to finish the session with completed pen and ink drawings on watercolour paper to take home. If you have some experience already, I will meet you at your current skill level and teach you advanced drawing practices to grow your confidence and practical knowledge, enabling you to take home preparatory and finished drawings on professional grade watercolour paper of your choice.
